Why these terms exist
Clear scope, fair fees, and a calmer working rhythm.
These terms apply to all HR consulting engagements with Stratton & Summers Consulting. They cover scope of work, fees, confidentiality, intellectual property, and mutual indemnities, governed by Victorian law. Why spell it out now? Because a good brief saves a lot of back-and-forth later.
Before we begin, we’ll confirm the deliverables in writing. That might be talent acquisition support for a growing startup, policy implementation for a dental clinic, or performance management advice for a retail team. Different businesses, same principle: clear boundaries.
Engagement and scope
We define the assignment, timeline, and assumptions before the work starts. Need a revised scope? We’ll agree it first.
Fees and payment
Invoices are issued according to the agreed schedule, with payment due on the date stated on each invoice. Clear enough, right?
Confidentiality
We treat your business information carefully and only use it to deliver the engagement, unless the law requires otherwise.
Liability and termination
Our liability is limited as set out in the agreement, and either party may end the engagement under the notice terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. If a dispute ever arises, we’ll aim to resolve it professionally and promptly, not theatrically.
